Almost Forgot
This is the stained glass my mother bought for me. Isn't it pretty?

As
you can see out the window (picture taken yesterday) we have no snow! We did get a very fine dusting on New Years Eve but that was it. The 40 degree weather we have had took care of that the next day. What's the deal? Everyone else in Minnesota seems to be getting some. Is it because I actually would like it? Well, I have now changed my mind. I placed my first order from Seed Savers yesterday so I don't want snow no more!!! There.
My first order of the year is looking like this:
Genovese Basil
Lettuce Leaf Basil
Arugula
Amish Paste Tomato
Brandywine Tomato
Moon & Stars Watermelon
Hutterite Soup Bean
True Red Cranberry Bean
Chives
Long Island Cheese Squash
Buttercup Squash

It's just beautiful! It's a daily reminder of the hope of spring- especially when the landscape is so bare. We have some snow left from the New Years storm, but I think they are forecasting 40's so it won't last long.
We have a bit more snow here, but damn the above-freezing weather for making it melt!
I think my preliminary seed order may look identical to yours. Amish Paste and Brandywine are among my must-haves, despite my pitifully short growing season. The Hermit says we're growing everything under hoophouses this year, so we'll see.
Oh, your garden already sounds delish!! Love the Stainglass, great present!
